Earn 5% Back on Citi Travel Bookings with Double Cash Card

Citi launched this week a new limited-time offer for Citi Double Cash cardmembers, giving them more cash back when using the Citi Travel with Booking.com site.

Now through December 31, 2024, Citi Double Cash cardmembers will earn 5% total cash back on hotel, car rental and attractions booked through the Citi Travel site.

That is an extra 3% cash back on top of what they already earn: 1% on all purchases and 1% as they pay for those purchases.

As you may recall, the Citi Travel site launched in March, giving eligible Citi cardmembers the ability to book hotels, flights, car rentals or attractions all in one place.

You can earn even more rewards if you have one of Citi’s premium credit cards. Through June 2024, Citi Prestige and Citi Premier cardmembers can earn a total of 10x ThankYou Points by booking their hotels, rental cars, or eligible attractions on Citi Travel. ThankYou Preferred and Rewards+ cardmembers can earn a total of 5x ThankYou Points on the same bookings, and now Citi Double Cash cardmembers as well.

  1. Citi Travel has terrible pricing on hotels. Why would anyone use it? So, who cares about 10X on the Premier or 5X on the Double Cash or even the free night on the Prestige?
