Delta Confirms New Sky Club Opening

Delta Air Lines will add a new Sky Club at a major airport. A spokesperson for the airline has confirmed ongoing rumors that a new lounge is coming next year to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).

“Delta Sky Club is looking forward to opening its first-ever location in Charlotte next year. We look forward to sharing more details in the coming months,” Delta told The Charlotte Ledger last week.

The airline’s expansion at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is part of the renovation project for Concourse A which is expected to be completed next fall. Once that project is completed, Delta will debut 10 new gates as well as the new Sky Club.

Delta is currently a small player at CLT, which is a major American Airlines hub. But the new gates and lounge signal growth at the airport in coming years.

Delta Sky Clubs are some of the best airport lounges. They provide travelers with a relaxing environment, where they can dine, or have a few drinks before their flight. Recently the airline took several steps to restrict access as many of these lounges have been overcrowded.

There are several ways to access Delta Sky Clubs. You can do so with an American Express credit card, elite status, or by flying in business or first class. You can also purchase a Sky Club membership. Find out the full details here.
