30,000 miles roundtrip from the USA to Hong Kong is a pretty amazing deal. Yes, it’s a long flight, but for not much more than a domestic roundtrip, you can see an entirely new area of the world and an amazing city.   2. Here’s the problem I have with these Delta flash sales, they’re great if you live near the departure city, but you are SOL if you live anywhere else. A quick search shows that I could easily fly from RIC to BOS to connect to AMS on a 34k eligible flight. Separately, the flight from RIC to BOS is on sale for 10k round trip (also very good deal). But if you try to book them together the cheapest flights are 69k round trip.

    I know I could book under two tickets, but why can’t they just stack the flights and charge me 45k? This would still be a decent deal if not as great as the promotion.
