Delta Interior Upgrades Rolling Out This Month

Delta customers will soon enjoy an improved premium travel experience as the airline’s newest First Class seat begins rolling out. The new seat will be available on select refreshed Boeing 737-800 aircraft starting this month. Delta is also expanding the Delta One cabin on its fleet of Airbus A350-900s.

New First Class Seats on Boeing 737-800s

These new First Class seats, which debuted in 2022 on Delta’s A321neo aircraft, provide more privacy, additional stowage space for personal items and a sturdier tray table, in addition to enhanced comfort for premium customers.

“Delta is committed to creating a consistent and elevated customer experience across all touchpoints of the travel journey, which includes offering the best products for our customers while in-flight,” said Mauricio Parise, Vice President of Brand Experience, in a statement. “Enhancing our aircraft interiors with select retrofits will give customers more premium options to choose from.”

Delta will also refresh Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin on select Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 10-inch Panasonic seatback screens. Elsewhere on the aircraft, upgraded lavatories will deliver touchless features.

Expanding Delta One on Airbus A350-900s

As mentioned above, Delta is also expanding the Delta One cabin on Airbus A350-900s. The airline is adding eight more award-winning lie-flat suites to the long-haul jet.

With these modifications, the A350-900 will soon feature 40 Delta One Suites, 40 seats in the Delta Premium Select cabin, 36 extra-legroom seats in Delta Comfort+ and 159 Main Cabin seats. The first modified A350-900 aircraft in this new configuration is expected to enter into service in Summer 2024.
