Delta SkyMiles Sale: Starting at 12K Round-Trip
There’s a good unpublished Delta award sale on flights to Mexico and some Caribbean Islands from several airports including JFK, Boston and LAX. Round trips start at just 12,000 SkyMiles for Main Cabin and 18,000 for Delta Comfort plus taxes and fees. There’s availability from August through December. Here are a few examples:
There are also some decent cash rates for First Class if you play around with dates. I found JFK-SJU for $533 Round Trip on Google Flights. Fly for as little as 12,000 SkyMiles round trip from select US airports to several cities destinations. Other SkyMile deals and terms and conditions can be found here. This is not a published deal so you’ll have to look at the individual flights for any rules. It seems you can also book one way for most of these itineraries, but again you have to try out different searches to see what works.

Conclusion
I’m guessing these fares will not last long. You can fly for just 12,000 SkyMiles round-trip plus taxes and fees to Cancun or reduced SkyMiles award tickets to some other Caribbean islands. These trips would usually cost double that, so take advantage of these prices now. Also, if you’re interested in cash rates, you can get a great deal when booking make sure to maximize your credit card rewards. Use Amex Platinum that offers 5x MR on airfare, Chase Sapphire Reserve for 3x UR on travel, or Citi Prestige for 3x TYP on airfare.
