Delta Vacations Hotels Offer Onsite Virus Testing

Delta Vacations is a popular booking site since you can often find some great deals, especially when they run promotions. But now they have cut the number of properties that you can book.

The change comes after the CDC mandated last month that international travelers entering or transiting through the U.S. must show proof of a negative Covid-19 test within three days of departure. Delta Vacations has reached out to all of its hotel partners to see if they could offer onsite testing, Travel Pulse reports. Many of them said they could. That’s something that makes for a much better experience for the customers.

Brian Canning, vice president of growth and engagement, said the policy was set in place so that Delta Vacations “can guarantee to advisors that their clients could not book a bad experience. We took away the possibility of not knowing what to do as far as being out of the country and needing a test.” He added that this way “vacations felt like vacations and guests didn’t have to worry about where they might find a test while they were away.”

Th tour operator is adding information on its website and on its agent portal (Worldagentdirect.com) about what happens if a traveler does  test positive while out of the country. The site offers important information on whether the hotel will offer reduced or complimentary room rates for extending a stay in the event of a positive test. It even specifies whether or not the testing is included in the price.

  1. oh God, It will be lot of trouble if someone test positive and the person have to spent holidays in separate room. I would better prefer to stay at home as long as the whole world is not vaccinated. We all must take care.
