If you are looking to add some extra miles to American, United and Alaska Airlines accounts, check out these promotions from their respective shopping portals. You can earn up to a total of 6,000 bonus miles from all three. Take a look at the details.
Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Shopping
During the “Member Appreciation Bonus” offer, which runs from 5/8/2023 through 5/15/2023 at 11:59:59 pm ET, members will receive a one-time bonus of up to 2,000 Mileage Plan bonus miles on qualifying purchases made through the Mileage Plan Shopping mall or from purchases made through Mileage Plan Shopping in-store offers.
This one-time bonus award will be determined using one of the following tiers, based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period:
- Tier 1 bonus: 400 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $100;
- Tier 2 bonus: 2,000 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $400 or more.
United MileagePlus Shopping
During the “Member Appreciation Bonus” offer, which runs from 5/8/2023 through 5/15/2023 at 11:59:59 pm ET, members will earn a one-time bonus of up to 2,000 MileagePlus® bonus award miles on qualifying purchases made through the MileagePlus Shopping SM mall or from purchases made through MileagePlus Shopping in-store offers.
This one-time bonus award will be based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period using one of the following tiers:
- Tier 1 bonus: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $100; or
- Tier 2 bonus: 2,000 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $400 or more.
American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping
During the “Member Appreciation Bonus” offer, which runs from 5/8/2023 through 5/15/2023 at 11:59:59 pm ET. members will earn a one-time bonus of up to 2,000 AAdvantage® miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the base AAdvantage® miles earned from shopping online through the AAdvantage eShopping mall.
This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period using one of the following tiers:
- Tier 1 bonus: 500 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of at least $200; or
- Tier 2 bonus: 2,000 bonus miles for qualifying purchases of $600 or more.

Anyone else find it interesting to observe that the redemption rate for points remains relatively uniform across various airlines? For instance, they may require customers to spend a minimum of $400 to qualify for 2,000 miles, despite each airline assigning different values to their miles.
