Etihad Offers Free Hotel Nights with Stopover

Etihad is running a decent promotion offering a free 2-night Stopover in Abu Dhabi for bookings made before 12 November for travel between 15 January & 15 June 2019. There is a minimal fee of $15 AED night paid to the hotel (approx $5 USD).

Included with the promo is 2 free nights at one of the following hotels in Abu Dhabi:

Key Details

  • Book by November 12, 2018
  • Travel between Jan 15- June 15, 2019
  • Must be a paid flight within Economy or Business class
  • valid for bookings made in any Fare Choice within Economy or Business Class on Etihad Airways only, except for award bookings, award upgrades or cash plus miles promotions.
  • The stopover conditions of the applicable fare of your ticket will apply.
  • You must be traveling on a round trip return ticket.
  • Hotel reservations must be made a minimum of 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival for the request to be processed.

Analysis

This is essentially a cheap way for anyone flying through Abu Dhabi to check it out for a few nights. I realize the hotels aren’t exactly 5 Star but hey, they’re free. Those guests who wish to take advantage of the regular Business Class 1-night premium can do so by visiting Premium Stopover page.
