Fast Track to Hyatt Globalist for American Airlines Elites
World of Hyatt and American Airlines AAdvantage launched a great partnership last year for elite members of both programs. Now there is a new offer for select American Airlines Executive Platinum elites to enroll in a fast track status challenge for Hyatt. You can link your accounts here if you haven’t already done so. Let’s look at the details of this offer that was sent by email.
The Offer
Because you are an AAdvantage® elite member, you now have an exclusive opportunity to quickly earn elite status in World of Hyatt. Here’s how it works:
- Register by October 2, 2020
- After registering, stay ten qualifying nights at any Hyatt hotel within 90 days of registration and you’ll enjoy World of Hyatt status through February 2022
- Remember, as an AAdvantage® elite member with linked accounts, you’re already earning 1 AAdvantage® bonus mile for every $1 you spend on Hyatt stays. That’s on top of the World of Hyatt points you already earn as a member
- Choose from 1,000+ locations around the globe, including brands like Park Hyatt, Thompson Hotels, Andaz and Grand Hyatt
Upon registration, the Eligible Member will have 90 days (“Qualification Period”) to achieve Explorist status through February 28, 2022 by completing ten (10) Tier-Qualifying Nights (as defined in the World of Hyatt program terms) or achieve Globalist status through February 28, 2022 by completing twenty (20) Tier-Qualifying Nights.
Conclusion
Crossover programs are a great way to get more loyalty benefits and earn points. That is even better when the programs are a major airline and one of the best hotel loyalty program such as American and Hyatt.
Earning elite status usually takes some effort and it is time consuming so these promotion make it easier and often cheaper to qualify. The October 2 deadline is well thought out in this case though, as it makes it impossible to take advantage of the double elite nights with the Bonus Journeys promo. But there are some other Hyatt promotions going on that can still be stacked.
Currently, World of Hyatt elite members earn one Hyatt Point for every eligible dollar spent on qualifying American Airlines flights. While, AAdvantage elite members earn one bonus mile for every eligible dollar spent at qualifying Hyatt hotels.
