Frontier’s Big Airfare Sale
Awhile ago I wrote about why I simply won’t cover most of Frontier’s so called airfare sales. With that said, they do occasionally have a decent sale and today is one of those days. Through tomorrow they are selling 100,000 seats at $15 each way or $30 roundtrip.
Tuesday & Wednesday Is a Drawback
Unfortunately the one big draw back of this deal is that it is available for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only from September 1 through November 18, 2015. Normally that would kill the deal for me, however I am making an exception since they are offering so many routes at this price that I think it will make sense for some people.
Frontier often has limited sales with cheap prices, however this time a lot of their long haul routes are on sale. For example from my hometown of Las Vegas they are offering these prices to Orlando, Chicago, St. Louis, Atlanta, Austin, Cincinatti, Denver and Washington Dulles. A lot of those are very long routes that you will almost never see at this low of a price.
Promo Code
The sale seats are actually priced at $20 each way, however if you use the promo code SAVEBIG then the system will take another $5 off. I was successfully able to price out several routes at $30 including flights from LAS-ORD in October for $30 roundtrip.
Key Terms
- Purchase by August 26, 2015
- Fly September 1 through November 18, 2015
- Seats are limited
- Valid on Tuesday and Wednesdays
Analysis
I know that these dates probably won’t work for everyone, however if you are able to be a little flexibile then you can get some fantastic prices. There are two things to keep in mind though. Frontier is now an ultra low cost carrier meaning they charge for just about everything. Keep their fees in mind when calculating whether this makes sense for you. Also, Frontier has been reducing seat pitch in their aircraft. In other words, flying for four hours in one of these planes isn’t going to be the most comfortable thing in the world to do.
Conclusion
Sometimes you just need a $30 roundtrip fare to help you get away. This one comes with a few caveats, however it is still a good deal. These deals tend to go fairly quickly so I would recommend heading over to the sale page and searching sooner rather than later if you are interested.
