Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Suite Tour
Earlier this year I had the chance to spend a few nights at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar on an amazing mistake rate. My full review is going to come next week, but I thought it was worth showing a couple of suite tours I put together from the second largest Hyatt in the world. I didn’t love the service at this hotel, but I’d be lying if I said the hotel rooms weren’t pretty darn good.

What Are Suites Like at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar?
In these videos you’ll see my 1 Bedroom Poolside Villa and how its decor is very unique and in my opinion fun. Plus you’ll see a 2 Bedroom Residence in the East Tower which looks WAY different and admittedly has better views, but is further from the action. Each room has its benefits and you probably can’t go wrong with either. Thanks to PDX Deals Guy for filming his tower suite and allowing us to share with all of you.
Baha Mar 1 Bedroom Poolside Villa
This room is located in a separate tower that holds a little over 30 of these villas. A few have 2 bedrooms while most have 1. The private pool you see in the video is for use by pool villa guests only and was never used by anyone else while we were there. The Poolside Villa also gives you access to the Reserve Lounge and comes with butler service.
Baha Mar 2 Bedroom Residence in the East Tower
If you like red then this is the room for you! I personally love the decor in these East Tower rooms with the mixture of red and white. It’s super modern and comfortable and this suite also comes with the same access to the Reserve Lounge and butler service. The views up here in the tower are definitely better than poolside, but you are more removed from the action.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Suite Tour – Bottom Line
There is truly no doubt that the rooms at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar are modern, new and very well done. I personally prefer the uniqueness of the Poolside Villa, but think the aesthetics are a bit better in the tower suites. Which room do you prefer? Do you like the unique yacht theme or the ultra-modern red in the tower suite? Let me know in the comments!

I really appreciated the video on the two bedroom. I wanted to know if you could tell me the difference between a residence versus a suite. The photos on the hotel website don’t look that similar to the video. I was hoping to book something exactly like the video. Thanks.
Don’t care for all the red and white. When I head to the tropics, I prefer the decor to attempt to convey some kind of tropical vibe, even if done with some sort of a modern twist.
The pool villa on the other hand was quite nicely attuned to the destination, imho.
Good points. The West Tower (not shown in these videos) has sort of an aqua blue color scheme which feels much more tropical as well. Overall good mix of high quality decor for different tastes.
