Hilton Keeps Increasing Award Prices
Hilton Honors is a very popular program, but Hilton points have seen several devaluations recently. Most of these devaluations have been noticeable since some of the most sought after properties have jumped up in price.
Some of these hotels can now cost you the maximum of 250,000 points per night. That makes Hilton Free Nights even more valuable now, as they are not capped.
Now there’s yet another devaluation, but this one seems to be focused more on mid-tier properties. Capital Hilton for example is now priced at 70K on most night, up from 50K. The Art Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton has gone from 50K to 65K. Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort is 130K per night, up from 110K.
You maybe still be able to find the lower price on a random night here and there, but the new Standard Room Reward rates apply to most of available dates.
Hilton doesn’t have an award chart. They dropped it the same time they dropped that extra H from Honors back in 2017. Back then it was shocking to see the maximum rate at 90,000 points per night.
Even redeeming points on Amazon, which used to get you a value of just 0.2 cents per point, has recently dropped to 0.14 cents per point.
Let us know if you come across any Hilton properties that have increased prices in recent days!
