Hilton Makes Three Minor Changes to Points Earning
Hilton Honors has made some positive changes to its loyalty program. Starting January 9th, three options to earn points have been improved. Here are the changes that were implemented:
- Earn points for up to four rooms –Hilton Honors members can now earn points for up to four rooms when booking together. Previously you were limited to earning base points on two rooms only. This change should be helpful for those occasions when you travel with a big group of fiends and family.
- No limit on points earned per stay – Hilton is eliminating the cap of 100,000 base points per stay. The cap already didn’t apply to some brands, but now has been removed altogether. Might not be a bis issue for most people, but it is good to know that there is no limits.
- Earn points on incidentals at all Hilton brands –At Hampton Inn by Hilton, Tru by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton, and Homewood Suites by Hilton you could only earn points on room rates. Now you earn points on incidentals as well.
Conclusion
These are minor changes, but all three are positive. You could end up grabbing some extra points here and there with incidentals, or if you’re booking rooms for a large group.

I often travel with a big group of fiends. The more fiendish, the better. Keeps life interesting.
