New IHG Promotion with 20% Discount on Award Stays

IHG One Rewards has launched a new promotion, offering discounts on award stays through the next two months. IHG One Rewards cardholders can book stays using 20% less points, and later select IHG members will also be able to take advantage of these discounts. Let’s see the details.

The Offer

Enjoy a 20% discount on Reward Nights when you book 3 or fewer consecutive Reward Nights by January 20 and stay by March 10, 2023. The discount also applies to points portion for Points & Cash bookings.

This promotion is currently available for IHG One Rewards cardholders. Starting January 13, 2023, IHG Platinum and IHG Diamond members will also be able to participate.

If you are eligible for this promotion, you’ll see the original award pricing that is crossed out and the discounted price in your search results.

Conclusion

IHG cardholders can start booking stays through the next two months with a 20% discount. This is a good opportunity for those looking to redeem IHG points, or even free night certificates since more properties are eligible after the discounted price.

There are some limitations that you should be aware of. This promotion only applies to award stays up to a maximum of 3 consecutive nights. That means that you won’t be able to stack it with the 4th night free benefits from your IHG card. Also the promotion period is quite short, so hopefully your travel plans align.
