IHG Rewards Accelerate Promo for Q2 2017
IHG Rewards Club Accelerate promo is here again for the second quarter of 2017. During Accelerate you receive a targeted set of tasks and earn bonus points for completing them.
If you like IHG and their Accelerate promos, then you can sign up for the latest promotion with offers that must be completed between 15 May 2017 and 31 August 2017. Let’s take a look at the offers that I see.
My Offer
This is what I see when I register for the promotion. An OK offer that could get me close to 40,000 IHG points but requires some work.
By completing the first three offers I could satisfy the Achievement bonus and Early Stay Bonus for a total of 39,500 points.
Check Your Offers
In order to be eligible for the promotion you must register and view your offers. You can login, register and see your offers here. It might say “The promotion came to an end as of August 31, 2017” so try using incognito to register.
Conclusion
As of now I will probably skip this Accelerate promotion, unless my plans change in the near future. Either way, some people will get good offers and some bad ones. It always pays to look and see if it makes sense to switch your loyalty for the quarter.

Confused as to what type of “stay” qualifies for bonuses. The terms say that it must be a paid stay and specifically state that “Reward Nights” do not qualify. But one of my tasks says “Book one stay with Points & Cash.” So do Points & Cash stays qualify for all the tasks? If so, this might be lucrative for me. I’m planning a road trip in the Accelerate time period. I have too many IHG points to be paying cash for their rooms, but P&C is a good way to stretch out those points, especially if I got 2400 points plus another 1500 for using IHG cc and another 5600 for doing it again at a second hotel.
Does anyone know for sure if Points & Cash stays qualify?
No Points & Cash stays are essentially award stays so you would have to do the P&C stay to qualify for that requirement and then normal stays for everything else.

I feel like you could book one room with bonus points package and then sign up for the credit card and get the bonus. Pretty good offer imo.

That’s what i was seeing as well when clicking directly, but worked when going through incognito. Shawn couldn’t get it to work either way.
