Increased Offers for Delta Credit Cards

Increased Offers for Delta Credit Cards Still Available

Delta and American Express like to increase their co-branded credit card welcome offers a few times per year. Recently they had many of these offers available, but they expired on 7/2. Luckily these same offers seem to still be available through referral links until 7/31/2019. Even though many people thumb their nose at Delta Skymiles they still have their uses like their Delta One Skymiles sales.

Personal Card Offers

I will go through each increased card offer one by one. You can find them here with out referral link.

American Express Gold Delta SkyMiles

The increased welcome offer is:

  • Earn 60,000 bonus miles after spending $2,000 within your first 3 months.
  • A $50 statement credit when you make your first Delta purchase (a can of Pringles works)
  • $95 Annual fee IS waived the first year
  • Earn 2X Skymiles on Delta purchases, 1X on everything else.
  • Free checked bags on Delta flights

This offer has been as high as 70,000 Skymiles so you may want to hold off on it and see if that offer returns.

American Express Platinum Delta SkyMiles

The increased welcome offer is:

  • Earn 75,000 bonus miles and 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles after spending $3,000 within your first 3 months.
  • A $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months.
  • $195 annual fee IS NOT waived.
  • Earn 2X Skymiles on Delta purchases, 1X on everything else.
  • Free checked bags
  • Priority boarding

This is the highest we have seen the offer (previous high was 70K).  That plus the $100 credit make it the best offer of the bunch in my opinion.  The card is a good long term keeper for some with the companion pass you earn each year paying the annual fee.

Delta Credit Cards reserve

Delta Reserve Credit Card

The increased welcome offer is:

  • Earn 75,000 bonus miles and 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles after spending $5,000 within your first 3 months.
  • Earn 2X Skymiles on Delta purchases, 1X on everything else.
  • The $450 Annual Fee IS NOT waived.
  • Delta Sky Club access – you must have an arriving or departing Delta ticket to access the lounge.  Can bring in up to 2 guests for $29 a piece.
  • Priority boarding and an upgrade tie breaker.
  • Free checked bags

This matches the highest I can remember seeing the Skymiles bonus for this card.  I have seen the MQM higher in the past.  If that is more important than you may want to hold off. This is a good card for frequent Delta flyers that want to jump people on the upgrade list and get extra MQM’s from their spend.  If you are after lounge access the American Express Platinum card may be a better option (especially if you can snag the 100K offer).

Business Card Offers

The details for each card are as follows:

Delta Credit Cards gold biz

Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Card

The increased welcome offer is:

  • Earn 70,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 within your first 3 months.
  • A $50 statement credit when you make your first Delta purchase
  • 0% APR for 6 months
  • $95 Annual fee IS waived the first year
  • Earn 2X Skymiles on Delta purchases, 1X on everything else.
  • Free checked bags on Delta flights

I believe this matches the historical high for this card.

Platinum Delta SkyMiles Business Card

The increased welcome offer is:

  • Earn 80,000 bonus miles and 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles after spending $6,000 within your first 3 months.
  • A $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months.
  • $195 annual fee IS NOT waived.
  • Earn 2X Skymiles on Delta purchases, 1X on everything else.
  • Free checked bags
  • Priority boarding

This is as high as I can remember seeing this offer although the MQM’s has been higher at 10K in the past.

Delta Reserve Business Credit Card

The increased welcome offer is:

  • Earn 80,000 bonus miles and 5,000 Medallion Qualification Miles after spending $6,000 within your first 3 months.

80,000 Skymiles is the highest I can remember seeing this offer but the MQM’s have been much higher.  If you were looking for MQM’s for status it may be better to hold off.  If you were looking for Skymiles then this is as good as it has been.

Conclusion

These are some very valuable offers.  Even if you value Skymiles at 1.25 cents each of these increased offers give $750+ in value. A good opportunity to get great bonuses and also referral bonuses if you refer yourself or get a referral link from friends and family.
