Kerala Blog Express Revisited
As part of the Kerala Blog Express, Kerala Tourism paid my expenses to tour the state. I was not asked to write about anything specific nor was this post solicited by them in any way. The words and ideas are my own.
I know Miles to Memories has grown its readership considerably over the past nine months, but those readers who have been with me awhile may remember my participation in the Kerala Blog Express this past March. Kerala Blog Express was a unique experiment, where 28 travel bloggers including myself toured the Southwestern Indian state of Kerala for two weeks in a bus.
I hadn’t heard much about Kerala before my trip and was amazed at how diverse and beautiful it is. I wrote quite a few articles about the trip when I returned including how friendly the people were and my experiences in Kerala’s tea country, eating a traditional meal and staying on a houseboat, which is still one of my all time favorite travel experiences.
Kerala Blog Express the Magazine
While the Kerala Tourism Department has now moved on to the planning for Kerala Blog Express 2, they didn’t forget about us bloggers in the first round. They have assembled and released an online magazine with the best pieces of writing from each of the bloggers on the trip.
This amazing compilation tells the story of Kerala better than any one of us could individually. If you have a few minutes, I highly recommend taking a look. I promise you will instantly come down with a case of wanderlust!
Vote for Elena To Go on Kerala Blog Express 2
I also want to mention that a fellow Prior2Boarding blogger, Elena at Muslim Travel Girl is in the running for Kerala Blog Express 2. I met Elena during BACon a few months ago and sincerely hope she is chosen. Not only is she one of the nicest people in the world, her perspective and refreshing.

Stunning Kerala Blog Express Videos
One of the most impressive parts of the Kerala Blog Express was the photographer hired to actually document the trip. Anthony is among the best photographers I have ever seen work. He put together the following videos which sum up the trip in amazing detail.
My two second appearance in each video may be cringe worthy, but at least it proves I was there. I am embedding both videos below, but you would be doing yourself a favor by watching both. Try not to drool. I dare you! Have a great night!
