I am from a mixed family, so last night we celebrated the final night of Chanukah and today we are celebrating Christmas. Fun fun!

I am thankful for my dear wife and darling daughter and that we were able to give her a joyful and delightful Christmas.
I am thankful for my family and that everyone is in reasonably good health.
I am thankful for my health, so I am able to keep working and provide good healthcare for my family.
I’m thankful for so many things. With only three days left before my life-partner arrives for a visit, I’m going to have to go with her :-). We met when neither of us were “looking,” when we were much more inwardly focused. Since May, we have grown into a beautiful, deep, playful, inspiring “muy serio!” (she’s from Spain/Catalunia–very serious) relationship, and I continue to fall fall fall in love with her, many times a day. And I’ll see her in three days!!! (I would gift her the Kindle!) // And grateful for your blog–gracias!

In the last four years I’ve been treated for cancer, diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, and suffered through six compression fractures of the spine. I’m grateful I spent Christmas afternoon at the Plaza del Toros in Cali, Colombia, watching six bulls get it a lot worse than I have. At least, so far.
I am thankful that 5 days with the in-laws went as smoothly as can be expected — and I am thankful that it’s over!

Thankful for all the positive developments in 2014 and also for being able to spend the holidays in Thailand once more with friends and family.

It has been a tough year health wise so I am thankful for the fact he is home for the holidays before returning to hospital for more surgery following the first of the year. I am thankful that we see an end in sight.
