Macerich Malls Free Visa Gift Cards

For the next few days, Macerich Malls are offering Visa gift cards without a purchase fee. Let’s take a look.

The Offer

We’re waiving the purchase fees on Mall Visa® Gift Card purchases of $100 or more, so hurry into the mall Guest Services or Management Office.

Key Terms

  • Offer valid from 10/31/16 – 11/4/16.
  • Limit 5 Visa Gift Cards in a single transaction per customer per day during the promotion period.
  • Not available with online purchases, any other offer or on previously purchased Visa Gift Cards.

Finding the Offer

To find the offer, go to your local mall’s website and click on “Events”. You should then see a link to the offer on that page. For example, here is the offer page for Arden Fair in Sacramento.

Analysis

I believe you can purchase up to $500 per Visa gift card at Macerich (some malls have $1,000 cards but I have heard those can be trouble since they monitor how they are used), so this is like $2,500 worth of free spend per day if you maximize it! Pretty good. With these cards the PIN number is the last four digits of the card number.

Conclusion

This is a great deal and one I would surely take advance of if I had a Macerich Mall nearby. Of course I am surrounded by Simon Malls, so perhaps they will get some inspiration from this deal and run one of their own. Or maybe that is just wishful thinking.
