Remember that Marriott credit cards come with a lot of terms to be eligible for the offers:

Conclusion
The $100 in statement credits after spending $500 on eligible airline purchases is part of both offers, and also available for existing cardholders.
So we’re just really comparing 50,000 points and a $400 Marriott Gift Card to 5 Free Nights (50K each). I think most people including myself would prefer the latter, but maybe there’s some out there that might like this new offer?
