Is it Time to Apply for the Marriott Rewards Premier Business Card?
The Chase Marriott Rewards Premier Business credit card is one the products that will disappear on February 12th, once the revamp of Marriott cards gets underway. If you’ve had your eyes on the card, then you need to apply before then.
The current welcome offer is 75,000 points after spending $3,000 in three months and the annual fee of $99 is not waived. Direct link to the offer.
Getting Chase cards is difficult nowadays as most of them fall under the 5/24 rule. But Doctor of Credit reports that the Marriott Rewards Premier Business card does not. That will make it easier for most people to apply and get a Marriott bonus.
There’s one catch though.  If you get the Marriott Rewards Premier Business card now, you will not be eligible for a bonus on the SPG Luxury or SPG business card for 24 months. But if you already had those cards, then the current Marriott Rewards Premier Business could make sense, even though it’s not the best we’ve seen.
Conclusion
Now that we know that the 5/24 rules likely doesn’t apply to the card, it opens up the possibility of a bonus to more people. If you need Marriott points, then it is worth applying, but it does make you ineligible for bonuses on other cards for another two years. You do have two more weeks to think about it.
