Amex Offers Can Be Moved From One Card to Another

Amex Offers are one the many benefits of American Express credit cards. These offers used to be much more lucrative when you could easily add them to multiple cards.

But in recent years, once you add an offer to one of your cards, it disappears from all your other American Express credit cards. There are some apps that can help you add offers to multiple cards, such as MaxRewards, but they’re not always reliable.

Yesterday, Frequent Miler reported an interesting piece of information regarding Amex Offers. Apparently you can move these offers from one card to another. That means that if you saved a grocery offer for example on your Amex Platinum card, you can move it to your Amex Gold card which earns 4X points on groceries.

In order to do this, you have to contact Amex via chat and possibly even via phone and ask an agent to do it for you. While it is possible, it seems that not all agents are aware of this. So it might take more than one try, until you find the right agent.

I would think that this works when the card you’re moving the offer to, was already targeted previously. So it just a way to fix the mistake of adding the offer to the wrong card. I doubt you’ll be able to add some of those lucrative Dell offers to Amex Business Platinum cards for example.
