We are planning for a trip to Austria, Switzerland, and France in August. I can attest hotel prices are bonkers…lots of hotels are sold out, most Hyatt’s don’t have any standard room award availability, IHG and Hilton points prices are through the roof. Made my first category 7 Hyatt booking (when two nights in Paris I’d been stalking miraculously opened up), because I’d rather part with 30K points a night than pay $300 cash for a much less nice hotel in a less convenient part of town.
