MtM Vegas DO Venue & More Information

Miles to Memories Vegas DO is happening in just a few weeks. The meetup will be about 3 hours long and will take place at the Clark County Library just East of the Las Vegas Strip. We will have a few formal presentations along with introductions and tips shared by attendees. Following the formal part of the event, my hope is that everyone will get together for dinner and more conversation. Here are the full details:

  • When: Saturday September 19, 2015
  • Where: Clark County Library – 1401 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119
  • Time: 2-5 PM with an informal get together to follow
  • Cost: $0

If you are interested in attending, then please sign-up through this form. While there is a nominal fee for the use of the room, in an effort to keep this simple I won’t be charging admission! The room can handle quite a few people so we shouldn’t have to worry about capacity constraints. Oh yeah and there will be door prizes too!

While I haven’t 100% nailed down the other speakers yet, I will be giving a short presentation on finding deals with a little bit on manufactured spending. As a bonus I will also be presenting a cool “secret” deal I recently discovered for myself that is too fragile to post here on the blog. Hope to see you there!

Chicago Seminars

I will also be presenting at the Chicago Seminars in October. The Chicago Seminars are one of the largest get togethers for miles & points enthusiasts. The event runs from October 16-18 near O’Hare airport. and I will be talking about cruises, cruising, cruise loyalty programs, etc. You can find the full three day schedule of speakers here.

The cost of the Chicago Seminars is very very reasonable at only $100. Tickets can be purchased here and any excess money is donated to charity at the end of the event.

Conclusion

I hope to see you either in Vegas or Chicago. If you have doubts about the value of a miles & points conference or even a simple meetup, then I suggest reading my thoughts on their value. Have a great day!

  1. Just booked my flights to LAS for the 19th! Is anyone staying? LV is expensive this time of the year. I might just stay in the Centurion Lounge.

  2. Already purchased a tix for the Chicago Seminars, booked Megabus and a motel room close by. I managed to book a 2 double beds room at the Days Inn Elk Grove Village for 3 days @$149. A ‘free’ daily breakfast in included, except the offerings aren’t too healthy.

While I’m not a seasoned traveler, I did attend recent basic level Frequent Travel University (FTU) events in VA and TX. I’ve learned a lot and overall, the speakers have been knowledgeable and helpful. My main negative is there too much emphasize on big time churning and my situation won’t let me join in.

  3. Hoping you’ll post re: who else is speaking as soon as it is arranged. Since I’d be flying in especially for the meetup, the more info about the speakers and their topics, the better; I just want to be sure it will be relevant to my interests/needs/level. Much appreciated.
