New 150K Bonus for Two American Express Platinum Cards
American Express, Charles Schwab, and Morgan Stanley have launched a new bonus on two Platinum credit cards, offering 150,000 points. The spending requirement is now higher than usual, at $12,000, but you still have 6 months to complete it. Let’s see the details.

Eligibility Rules
You may not be eligible to receive a welcome offer if you have or have had the Platinum Card®, the Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Charles Schwab, the Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Morgan Stanley or previous versions of these Cards. You also may not be eligible to receive a welcome offer based on various factors, such as your history with credit card balance transfers, your history as an American Express Card Member, the number of credit cards that you have opened and closed and other factors. If you are not eligible for a welcome offer, we will notify you prior to processing your application so you have the option to withdraw your application.
About These Cards
Both the Charles Schwab Platinum and the Morgan Stanley Platinum cards have the same benefits as the regular Platinum card. You need to have an eligible account with Charles Schwab or Morgan Stanley in order to open either card, but they also have some unique perks.
Charles Schwab Platinum gives you the option to redeem Membership Rewards points for cash at a value of 1.1 cents each, with a maximum of 1 million points per year. You also get a Schwab Appreciation Bonus in the form of $100 card statement credit if your qualifying Schwab holdings are equal to or greater than $250,000, $200 for $1,000,000 or more and a $1,000 card statement credit with $10,000,000 or more.
Morgan Stanley Platinum lets you redeem Membership Rewards points at 1 cent each. You also get a $695 annual engagement bonus into your Platinum CashPlus account, which effectively waives that annual fee. Plus the annual fee for the first Additional Platinum Card is $0 ($195 after that).
