New $300 ChatGPT Credit
American Express is adding a new credit to the U.S. Business Platinum and Business Gold Cards.
Both credit cards are getting a $300 ChatGPT Business Credit. Amex shared the news in a press release but without adding any details on how this credit will be issued. They did say that is will launch this spring.
ChatGPT offers several plans, and ChatGPT Business requires a minimum of 2 users. With annual billing it would cost you $25 per user/month, paid as $300 per user per year. So that’s $600 minimum annually. That means that you are only getting a 50% discount.
But if the credit doesn’t require a $300+ purchase, then you may be able to use it for a monthly membership that costs $30 per user/month, or a total of $60/month. One card would cover five months.
This announcement is also interesting because the ChatGPT credit was already mentioned back in January in a survey that would also see the annual fee on the Business Gold card go up to $495. So it’s possible that the card will be refreshed this spring, when the credit goes live.
That survey also mentioned other credits such as:
- $240 Notion Credit
- $240 Xero Credit
- $250 LegalZoom Credit
- $100 Resy Credit
