Alaska Airlines has officially opened its brand-new lounge at Portland International Airport (PDX) today, giving travelers a much larger and more modern space to relax before their flights. The new lounge opened on June 4 and is located between Concourses B and C.

The new Alaska Lounge spans roughly 14,000 square feet and offers seating for more than 230 guests, nearly doubling the capacity of the old location. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows, private work booths, high-speed Wi-Fi, plenty of charging outlets and Alaska’s Signature Loungers. Guests can also enjoy complimentary food and beverages, barista-crafted espresso drinks, local beer and wine, and a full-service bar.

Alaska says the lounge was designed to reflect the Pacific Northwest, incorporating local artwork and natural materials throughout the space. One of the standout features is a large wooden Mt. Hood art installation created by Oregon artist Ben Butler, along with views of the airport’s recently renovated terminal.

The opening comes as Alaska continues to invest heavily in Portland, one of its largest hubs. The airline currently operates more than 100 daily departures from PDX and serves over 60 destinations through the combined Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines network.

Alaska has also added several new routes from Portland in recent years as it strengthens its position in the Pacific Northwest. This summer, the airline will launch year-round service to Everett/Paine Field (PAE) and Pasco–Tri-Cities (PSC), along with seasonal service to Jackson Hole (JAC). Last month, new service began to Baltimore (BWI), Bellingham (BLI), Idaho Falls (IDA), Philadelphia (PHL) and St. Louis (STL).

Access is available to Alaska Lounge members, Alaska Lounge+ members, eligible first-class passengers, and qualifying oneworld elite members and premium cabin travelers. The new facility is Alaska’s largest lounge outside of Seattle and represents another step in the airline’s efforts to enhance the premium travel experience for its most frequent customers.
