Should You Take the Offer?
Normally, if you have never had the Business Platinum card then taking this upgrade offer will trigger the once per lifetime language on the Business Platinum card. So you would technically not be eligible for a future welcome offer on the card (the enforcement doesn’t always match the terms here).
If you’ve never had the card, then I would suggest looking for the 300,000 offer that is showing up for some people. That offer comes with a 20,000 spending requirement though.
This upgrade offer would be a better option for those who have, or already had the card in the past.
Final Thoughts
This is a good offer if you can meet the spend requirement. Just keep in mind the higher annual fee of $895 which kicked in last month.
Check your Amex Offers section for the offer, it should be right at the top. Let us know if you are targeted!
