New United Gateway Card Launch & Increased Business Offer

Chase and United released a new credit card this month. It’s called the United Gateway Card. This is a no annual fee card that comes with a limited time sign-up bonus of 20,000 MileagePlus miles. Additionally, Chase and United have improved the welcome offer for the United Business Card. Let’s take a look at the offers and the details for each credit cards.

Chase United Business Card

In January, Chase and United Airlines teamed up to launch the new United Business Card. You can read our full review here. The offer at launch was for 100K miles for $10K spending and the annual fee wasn’t waived. It was then lowered shortly after launch but they have introduced a new, increased offer.

Conclusion

The improved offer for the Chase United Business Card might not be the highest we have seen, but the annual fee is waived for the first year. That means that you are saving $99 and the spending requirement is $5,000 less than the 100K offer we saw at launch.

The Chase United Gateway Card on the other hand comes with a 20,000 miles welcome bonus and 3X on grocery purchases on up to $1,500. It’s a no-fee card that you can keep long term, but it’s probably not worth the hard pull unless you can max out the grocery bonus. It is very similar to the new Freedom Flex offer.
