Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Hotel Review & Tour
Planet Hollywood Las Vegas was one of the last hotels to reopen on the Las Vegas Strip. Closed since March, it recently reopened its doors to guests and I stayed there on the first night. Besides doing my Midnight Strip Tour, I also circled the property to show you what makes it special and why it is a competitor for best mid-tier hotel on the Vegas Strip. I genuinely enjoyed my stay there and think given the price it can be a tremendous value for someone who doesn’t want something too basic.
Planet Hollywood Or Should I Say Aladdin – An Interesting History
Many people don’t know that Planet Hollywood sits on the site of the old Aladdin Hotel & Casino which was open from 1962-1997. This hotel closed to be re-born as the New Aladdin in 2000, but went into bankruptcy before changing its name to Planet Hollywood just a few years after opening. You can still see the old Aladdin theme in the architecture and many places in the mall as well.
Speaking of malls, the Miracle Mile Shops are huge and unique in that they were built around the old Aladdin Performing Arts Center, a venue that has been hosting some of the world’s biggest acts since 1976. In this area you can also find the 1,200 unit Elara which is run by Hilton Grand Vacations. It’s quite beautiful.
Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Hotel Review – Bottom Line
I hope you enjoy this video including a property tour, what the casino looks like and a full Planet Hollywood hotel review as well. This is one of my favorite Vegas properties and I am so glad to see it open once again. Have you ever stayed at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas or the old Aladdin?
