Redeem Hyatt Points Villa & Suites Online
As many of you know World of Hyatt is my preferred hotel loyalty program of choice! I hold their top tier Globalist status and its the only status I have fully qualified for repeatedly over the years. With complimentary breakfast, suite upgrades and many other perks I feel like I receive tremendous value, especially considering I can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt.
Book Hyatt Suites Online
Recently World of Hyatt has made it possible to book suites online with points. This was always part of the program, but booking involved calling in. Now it’s as simple as searching for a hotel which makes it pretty convenient. I actually think Globalist elites like myself who enjoy complimentary upgrades may be hurt by this, but overall it’s probably better for both Hyatt and most customers.
As you can imagine with many suites now being available online, people are finding some amazing values. One such “value” came from One Mile At A Time today. They found 3,000 square-foot villas at The Cape (Thomson Hotels) in Cabo for only 50,000 points per night. Don’t get me wrong that is a lot of points, but a 3,000 square foot villa in Cabo isn’t cheap either. And with 3 bedrooms and up to 6 guests allowed on the booking you could even share. (You can take a virtual tour here.)
A Tremendous Value with Hyatt Points But Not Cheap Either
While I’m not sure if I’ll 100% be able to go, I really would love to experience this so I just booked two nights for early next year. And while those two nights will cost 100,000 points, here is what the room would cost if I paid cash.
Is It Worth It?
One thing to consider is that World of Hyatt points to me have the same value as Ultimate Rewards. That’s because I transfer a lot of my Chase points to Hyatt. Right now I can cash out my Chase points at a value of 1.5 cents each, so I’d essentially be paying about $1,500 for the two nights. Something to consider for sure.
Redeem Hyatt Points Villa & Suites Online – Bottom Line
There are a ton of great values for booking suites with Hyatt points online. Unlike before where you had to call in to verify space, now your imagination and a little time can find amazing rooms at great prices on points. This room looks spectacular and I hope I am able to experience it, but I’ll have to decide if it’s worth the real cost.
Have you booked this or another amazing suite since they have been made available online?
