Safeway Happy Gift Cards Deal
Von’s, Safeway, Albertson’s and other stores that use the Just4U program have some new gift card coupons that may be of interest. There’s discounts of 10-15% on a variety of Happy Gift Cards which are cards that can be used at several merchants. Let’s take a look.

Loading the Offers
These offers comes in the form of a digital coupon that needs to be loaded to your Just4U account. To load the offer:
- Visit the website of your Just4U brand (ex. Safeway.com)
- Login to your Just4U account.
- Click on Just4U on the top left
- Navigate to the “Special Offers” category and you’ll see the coupons
Conclusion
It’s nice that Just4U continues to have decent coupons, although these are far from the best we have seen all year. I don’t see any limit stated on the coupons. If you see any of your favorite merchants, it could be worth grabbing some of these Happy Gift Cards to lock in savings. You can save even more by using cards that earn most points at supermarkets.

This is a much sweeter deal than it first appears. These cards are available up to $500. I did a small test buy to see if I would get gas points and the answer is yes. A $100 value card was $85, got fuel points (200) on the full value, that saves me at least $3 on gas. Used Blue Cash for another $5. So I got 23% off for a restaurant I frequent. Not the best use, because restaurant cards frequently have large discounts but there are other choices.
IMHO, this is the best deal from Safeway this year. The Visa, M/C deals are nice but you can’t earn gas points and the discount is depleted by the fee. Those deals don’t always work on variable load cards and denominations are rarely very high.
Can these be used to buy retail gift cards?
