And now let’s see how this Sapphire Preferred 100K offer works, who is eligible and how to apply.

Conclusion
The welcome bonus for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card has long been 60,000 points. Until yesterday there was a best ever public offer of 80,000 points and a $50 credit. And now we have a new best ever offer for 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points.
This new Sapphire Preferred 100K offer matches the highest offer we have seen even for the Chase Sapphire Reserve. It can be worth $1,250 or more when redeemed for travel, or with Pay Yourself Back. It might not have the best perks and earning rates, but this is an amazing offer for those who are eligible to apply and get the welcome bonus.
We often see these public offers for Chase become available through referrals as well. It could be worth waiting for that if you have someone who can refer you.

In 2020, Chase bumped me from 75k to 100k points on a new IHG card offer that came while I was still earning the original bonus. My recall was that the rep acted like it was a routine rule, if in the earning period and larger bonus comes out, they bump you into the larger bonus; I even received a confirmation letter via email.
Well, of course, I just called Chase as both my husband and I applied for new cards after canceling our others/referring each other during the 80,000 point promo. I was very kind, but the woman and then her supervisor said there was nothing they could do. I asked the supervisor to just “give it a shot” and request the 20,000 points. I’m hoping for some divine intervention on this one, but seriously, you gotta wonder what Chase is thinking. At least wait a month before rolling out the new offer, and making everyone mad. Maybe if EVERYONE calls…..
Called also. No luck.
I currently have a Preferred card but don’t use it much. Had it for a long time. If I go ahead and cancel, when can I expect to be able to reapply for the Preferred and get the bonus?
Thanks
When you apply, you can’t a Sapphire credit card and must not have received a Sapphire bonus within the last 48 months.
