Save $15 at Gas Stations with New Amex Offer

American Express is once again offering select cardholders a 5% credit for gas purchases. We have seen this offer in the past and sometimes terms vary from one account to the other. Let’s see the details.

The Offer

5% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled eligible American Express credit card to make purchases at a U.S. gas station by 3/7/2024. You can get up to $15 back in total statement credits.

Key Terms

  • An “eligible purchase” means a purchase made with your enrolled Card at a U.S. gas station location by 3/7/2024.
  • Offer excludes online purchases and marina fuel or any type of commercial fuel, including jet fuel purchases.
  • “Gas station” means a merchant that is primarily in the business of selling gasoline to consumers.
  • A gas station may sell other convenience items, but its primary business must be selling gasoline to consumers.
  • The following are NOT considered gas stations: superstores, supermarkets, and warehouse clubs that sell gasoline.

Conclusion

This is a decent offer, that can save you a few bucks on gas. You will get 5% back, up to $15 in savings, on top of the rewards that you already earn for these purchases. The offer is targeted, so check your accounts and add it now if you have it.
