Silvercar $100 Off Your First Rental
Silvercar really has come onto the scene over the past year or so as a pretty aggressive new player in the rental car market. Their fleet of Audi A4 vehicles is extremely attractive and their inclusion of GPS, satellite radio and a lack of ripoff toll and fuel policies makes them a very nice option.
At around $59 per day, Silvercar’s value proposition is fairly good considering what you are getting. Most times I opt for the cheapest car available, but there are times when I want to drive something nicer and I almost never see a car in the luxury category as low priced as Silvercar.
Thankfully you don’t have to pay $59 per day if you are looking to try Silvercar out. Yesterday news broke of a $75 off code that works on rentals of two or more days for new customers only. This can be combined with their $25 referral credit for new customers for a total of $100 off of a rental. What does that mean in the real world?
Sample Rental Costs
Here is a sample of a two day rental in Miami next March. Cars are running $59 per day plus tax.
$56.71 is a fantastic price, but remember you will also get $25 back via Paypal after completing your first rental which brings the price down to $31.71 or just $15.86 per day! That is great. Of course rental rates and taxes vary by location, but the final total should be fairly close to this.
How to Get This Deal
- Sign-Up with someone’s referral code for the $25. My code is SCOOMER if you would like to use it.
- Use the promo code ELEVATE75 when booking your rental on Silvercar’s website. It will take $75 off of a 2 or more day rental automatically. (Existing customers can get 15% off with the code ELEVATE15.) The codes must be used by 1/29/16. Full terms here.
Conclusion
If you have any upcoming need for a rental of two days, then you probably won’t be able to beat Silvercar given the $100 discount. Even if you can find an economy car for cheaper, it might be worth giving the Silvercar experience a try. The company is doing something interesting here and I hope they keep the discounts coming.

Hi Shawn, the link now says “Codes must be used before 01/10/2016.” Any idea if that means redeemed with a reservation by 1/10 even if the reservation is for later in the month?
I believe it has to be done before that date, but you can test to see if it lets you book with the code for afterwards.
When will the $25 expire?
You get the $25 via Paypal after completing your rental. It is cash they send you so you can withdraw it to your bank account or use it for purchases, etc.
Any sense when the $75 off will expire? Thanks.
Just did some more research and found out that the “Codes must be used before 01/29/2016.”
Thanks Shawn!
Dang it! I do have a need, but in Boston, and it’s not there. I will keep my eyes peeled for next time.
Thanks Shawn! Your timing couldn’t have been better for this post. Just booked a trip to Denver via Southwest, staying at the Hyatt Main Street in Breckinridge. The last ingredient I needed was the rental car and I really wanted all wheel drive. This will be a step up from our usual Alamo rental. In thanks, I used your referral code! My wife is going to be impressed when I open a luxury car with my phone and the free wifi on our 2 hour drive to the airport!
I’m glad it helped Nick! Thanks for using my referral. Enjoy your trip!
