SoFi, Get Additional $125 Worth of Crypto & Stocks

Mark recently wrote about SoFi Money, a card that refunds all ATM fees worldwide. It doesn’t require a hard pull and it comes with a $50 bonus. You can read the review here. But besides that, a SoFi Money account also offers the possibility to earn two other bonuses.

Update 3/20/20 – More people targeted and bonus extended for SoFi Crypto $25 offer.  Mark did the offer today x2 accounts and the bonus posted almost immediately. That is a quick and easy $50! Check your emails for the offer if you already have a SoFi Invest account.

SoFi Invest Bonus

Get $50 worth of your favorite stock to start building your portfolio when you fund your SoFi Invest account with at least $1000. The $1000 does not need to be invested but just transferred into the account.  You can withdraw it in full a week or two after the bonus stock posts. Once you have a new account you can earn $50 for every person you refer to the offer too. If you already have money in your SoFi Money account you can use that as the deposit option too.

Conclusion

The $25 bonus for opening a SoFi Money account is the first step. It’s a super easy bonus and the account could come in handy for those who travel abroad. Then you can go for these two bonuses that can get you another $75 worth of stocks and crypto, when you invest a total of $1010. Not a bad deal.

  1. WAIT: how is this a deal? To transfer small amounts of stock like this many investment bkg charge a fee of about $50.
So this could end up costing you money or maybe just break even?

Kinda a waste of time except for those who accumulate lots and lots of referrals

  2. Please stop spamming us with these paid affiliate links. Also the Crypto thing is limited by state. Didn’t see that mentioned anywhere on this blog.

    • If you don’t find it interesting then don’t click on the article. I don’t see the problem here. People want to know when referral bonuses go up. This is an easy money maker for many. If you don’t wanna take advantage that is your choice. But anyone with a 2 player system has been able to make hundreds of dollars off these deals. We will continue to post them as they happen as we always have.

      • As someone that has clicked through on these exact referrals on this site, I am disappointed with SoFi. I have had great trouble with them adhering to the terms of the promotion I signed up for because I was an existing customer to them. Somehow that affected my Player 2 as well.

SoFi has been very slow and vague when responding to my concerns. I also find their product and product names confusing. How many Invest accounts do they offer? What actually is SoFi Money? (It isn’t an FDIC product)

As for the Crypto offered with SoFi, that part actually intrigued me. It took too much time clicking and even running a few different Google searches to figure out that SoFi Crypto isn’t offered in every US state.

I get that not every product is for me, but wish the pros were tempered with the real-life cons from time to time.

        • I never did the Crypto deal and wasn’t aware that it isn’t available in every state but I think that may be a legal thing more than anything. There was another crypto offer out there for another app with a sign up bonus that wasn’t available in every state so I think it may be that way across the board now that you say SoFi has the same thing.

I think a lot of the issues happen because you can not refer the same person to both accounts and get credit for it. You can only get the bonus for money or invest so you have to reverse the referrals on the second item. I wasn’t aware of that in the beginning and messed that up with my wife but we have talked about it since I became aware of it. She also was an established customer with them from an older personal loan but we didn’t have any other issues with her referrals.

We have also discussed that SoFi isn’t a traditional bank and that you get FDIC insured once they move it to their banking partners that are FDIC insured.
