Southwest Airlines Fast Track to A-List Status
Southwest Airlines has a promotion that can get you a Promotional Companion Pass with just one flight. But the airline is also making it easier for Rapid Rewards members to earn elite status. Members can earn double Tier-Qualifying Points toward Tier Status with any qualifying flight from Sept. 3, 2021, through Nov. 30, 2021.
You must register for this promotion, book on Southwest.com, and travel now through Nov. 30, 2021, to fast track your way to Tier Status for 2022. Registration must be completed prior to booking and commencement of travel. The Member’s Rapid Rewards account number must be entered at the time of booking the Member’s qualifying flight to earn double Tier-Qualifying Points for that flight.
“We understand the pandemic continues to make it difficult for existing Members to earn Tier Status and enjoy benefits that come with achieving it,” said Corbitt Burns, Southwest Airlines’ Director of Rapid Rewards. “Loyalty has never been as important to them and to us, and we want to provide Members with a fast and easy way to reach their next level, whether it is A-List or A-List Preferred status.”
Southwest A-List
Southwest A-List status requires 25 one-way qualifying flights or 35,000 tier qualifying points.
For A-List Preferred you need 50 one-way qualifying flights or 70,000 tier qualifying points.
You also receive 1,500 TQPs for every $10,000 in purchases on your Rapid Rewards Premier Credit Card, Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card, Rapid Rewards Priority Credit Card, or Rewards Performance Business Credit Card. Remember, the maximum amount of TQPs you can receive from the Premier or Priority card is 15,000 ($100,000 in purchases) per year.
Once you earn A-List status, you can enjoy the benefits for the rest of the year and the following year.
