Need to Know
Here are some facts about the cards you should know:
- Southwest points are often worth 1.4 cents each towards airfare. This increased offer is like getting an extra $140 in value.
- Points earned from these offers DO COUNT towards the Southwest Companion Pass.
- These cards are known to be subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule.
Eligibility
These products are not available to either:
- (i) current Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapids Rewards® Credit Card, or
- (ii) previous Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months. This does not apply to Cardmembers of the Southwest Rapid Rewards Business Card and Employee Credit Card products.
Conclusion
These are good offers on all three cards and are especially useful to get the Southwest Companion Pass. However, we have seen better bonuses in the past, and the timing is not great to earn the Companion Pass.

My husband & I would both need to get the $99 one since we are within 2 years of the bonus for the $69. Both under 5/24. But we both currently have the $69 card. Thanks for the all the information on your site and in the Facebook group We’ve been doing credit card deals for at least 20 years and we’re still going.
Do you know how long you have to be cancelled before applying for another SW card? I have the $69 card niow and would get the $99.
Usually in a week or two and you are okay. Has it been over 24 months since you got the welcome offer? You could actually open up the $69 one again if you wanted to.
