Southwest Fare Sale, One-Way Flights Starting From $44

There’s a new Southwest fare sale with prices starting at low as $44 one-way. You’ll find the lowest price on one route, but there’s more discounted fares for a bit more. Let’s take a look.

The Offer

Fares starting from $34 or 1,325 points one-way. Book by December 7, 2017 for:

  • Domestic travel valid 12/19/2017 – 5/23/2018.
  • Travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico valid 1/16/2018 – 3/1/2018 and 4/3/2018 – 5/17/2018.
  • International travel valid 1/9/2018 – 3/1/2018 and 4/3/2018 – 5/18/2018.

Offer Terms

  • 14-day advance purchase required.
  • Purchase from December 5 through December 7, 2017, 11:59 p.m. in the respective time zone of the originating city.
  • Domestic travel valid December 19, 2017, through May 23, 2018. Travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico valid January 16 through March 1, 2018, and April 3 through May 17, 2018. International travel valid January 9 through March 1, 2018, and April 3 through May 18, 2018.
  • Domestic travel blacked out December 22-23, December 26-27, December 30, 2017.
  • Domestic travel is not valid on Fridays and Sundays. Travel to Florida and Nevada and from Florida to Nevada is valid only on Sundays through Wednesdays. Travel from Florida and Nevada and from Nevada to Florida is valid only on Tuesdays through Fridays. Travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico is valid Monday – Thursday. International travel is valid Monday – Thursday. Travel to Cancun, Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta is valid only on Sundays through Wednesdays. Travel from Cancun, Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta is valid only on Tuesdays through Fridays. Travel to/from Mexico City; Liberia, Costa Rica and San Jose, Costa Rica is valid daily.
  • Fares valid only on nonstop service.
  • Displayed prices include all U.S. and international government taxes and fees.
  • Points bookings do not include taxes, fees, and other government/airport charges of at least $5.60 per one-way flight.
  • Travel is available for one-way Wanna Get Away® fares.

Conclusion

These promotions have been more frequent lately and this time around we see even lower prices and a longer window for booking flights. They usually have good deals if you have any travel plans coming up. With a Companion Pass this offer gets significantly better. The lowest price this time around is for travel between LA and Vegas.

Fares are nonrefundable but may be applied toward future travel on Southwest Airlines, as long as reservations are canceled at least ten minutes prior to the scheduled departure.

Make sure to maximize your credit card rewards. Use Amex Platinum that offers 5x MR on airfare, Chase Sapphire Reserve for 3x UR on travel, or Citi Prestige for 3x TYP on airfare.

  1. I just booked roundtrip tickets from Columbus to Fort Lauderdale Jan 30 returning Feb14 for 723 Points one way. Only a few available days each month with that price. Score!!
