Southwest Status Match Offer 2019
Southwest has brought back its status match offer. We last saw it back in 2018 and now you have another chance to get status with Southwest, if you already have it with other airlines. It could be a good addition to those who might be getting their Companion Pass soon, thanks to the new credit card offers. Let’s take a look.
Southwest Status Match Offer
Submit proof of elite status with another airline and receive A-list status for 90 days. Extend this an additional 12 months by flying 3 roundtrip revenue tickets or 6 one-ways within the 90 day period.
Southwest Status Match – How to Register
To register for the Southwest status match, simply send an email to southwest.statusmatch@wnco.com with the following info:
- First name
- Last name
- Rapid Rewards® number
- Screenshot of current elite status with a U.S. based carrier, other than Southwest Airlines
You can find the full details and terms of the offer here.
A-list Benefits
A-list status comes with the following benefits:
- Fly By® priority check-in and security access lanes (where available)
- Dedicated A-List phone line, reserved checkin
- Free same-day standby
- 25 percent earning bonus on all eligible revenue Southwest® flights.
Conclusion
This is a great opportunity to avoid the hassles of the Southwest boarding process by getting in the front of the line. Same day standby is also a nice benefit. Keep in mind that to extend your status you need to travel on 3 round-trip or 6 one-way tickets that are booked AFTER you receive the match. This means any previously booked flights will not count.
It seems to be available to those who currently do not have A-List status.
How do you plan on taking advantage of it? Let us know in the comments!

Lost my CP this year and am not eligible for the CC with free CP. I will maybe fly one time on WN this year as a result so I won’t waste time on the status match. But I can see how others can benefit from this
