Yesterday Marriott announced their upcoming Megabonus promotion. Like in some of their previous promotions, you can earn a free night for every two paid stays. While this seems like a very good deal if you maximize it with two one night stays, there are some limitations. While in some previous promotions the free night earned was for a category 1-5 hotel, this time you can only redeem at a category 1-4. Also, you can only earn a maximum of 2 free nights during the promotional period. Here are a few more details:
To earn up to two free nights:
- Register by March 31, 2014
- Stay between February 1 and April 30, 2014
- Earn a free night at a category 1-4 hotel after the second paid stay, up to two free nights
To register for this, simply log in to your Marriott account and click on “My Account” on the top right and then “Your Promotions”. It should be listed there with a link to register.
SPG also recently announced their “Bring On The Nights promotion”. For every 5 eligible nights you stay in an SPG property, you will earn 2,500 Starpoints. The promotion runs from January 5 through April 30, 2014 and the maximum number of points that can be earned is capped at 10,000 with 20 eligible nights. There is one caveat to that. If you keep staying and hit 25 nights, they will award an additional 5,000 points for a total of 15,000 bonus points. You can register for the promotion here. Registration ends February 28, 2014.
