STARLUX Airlines Adds New Philippines Route
Taiwan-based luxury carrier STARLUX Airlines is adding a third Philippines destination to its routes, with the launch of daily flights between Taipei and Clark, Philippines, starting August 15.
Travelers will soon be able to fly from Los Angeles to Clark, the gateway to northern Philippines and island tourist destinations, via Taipei. Tickets are already on sale. STARLUX currently flies to both Manila and Cebu in the Philippines, and 14 other Asian destinations.
Clark once was the the largest U.S. military base in Asia. Not it has been transformed into what’s known as the Freeport Zone, an important economic center and tourist destination, known for its beautiful natural surroundings, including mountains, lakes, and outdoor recreational areas.
Thanks to the new partnership launched last month, Alaska Mileage Plan members can now earn miles on all STARLUX flights, and soon they’ll be able to redeem miles on STARLUX. When redemptions become available this summer on STARLUX flights between Los Angeles and Taipei, they will start at 20,000 miles for economy, 40,000 for premium economy and 60,000 for business class for a limited time
New Taipei to Clark Route
The flights to Clark will be operated by an Airbus A321neo configured in a two-class layout, with eight seats in Business Class and 180 in Economy Class.
