Stop&Shop/Giant/Martin’s, $10 Discount on Visa Style, Fuel and Dining Cards

Stop & Shop, Giant and Martin’s supermarkets have a promotion that can get you discount on category specific Visa branded gift cards. The discount should take care of the activation fee and give you a small profit, plus you can get your credit card rewards.

The Offer

Save $10 instantly when you buy $100 in Visa Style, Fuel and Dining Category Cards. Expires 06/30/2018.

See coupon here.

Key Terms

  • Offer expires 06/30/2018
  • Offer redeemed when you present your Card at checkout
  • While gift card supplies last.
  • All sales of gift cards are final, no refunds on gift cards.

Conclusion

The fine print also talks about a grocery discount, but they might have messed up there.

  1. That fine print indeed is potentially confusing. At times, it might mean we have to buy at least $10 in groceries (separate from the gift card) to get the $10 back…. Bigger question, I’ve avoided these cards since they first appeared, as I confess I don’t know how to use them, much less liquidate them. Does Visa somewhere publish a guide? For example, is that fuel card accepted at any and all fuel stations? Is there a list somewhere of what counts? (and would it work for non gas purchases at places like 7/11 or Sheetz — say including for gift cards within?)
