Target REDcard Bonus

The Target REDcard bonus is back for 2023! This time around Target is offering $40 off a $40 purchase. It is simply $40 free if you sign up for their debit card. If you have had the card before but closed it you should be eligible again.  Let’s check the details.

Here are the terms of the deal:

I have taken advantage of a similar deal in the past.  I don’t think you can have 2 debit REDcards though. But if you close your Target debit card first you should be able to reapply.

Final Thoughts

If you shop at Target often and have never done one of these deals this is a good offer. We have seen better in the past though. I would go with the Debit card since it shouldn’t come with a hard pull or anything so you save a Chase 5/24 slot. Plus you have the card for ongoing savings at Target.

  1. Apparently the offer is BS, The offer was right on the site when I applied, and I didn’t receive any coupon with the card.

    • Weird – I got 2 coupons that came with the card’s welcome packet. You didn’t miss the cut off time?

  2. Our household got 2 of the $40 off $40 spend offers last yr. We only had a few weeks each time to use them, though, because it took so long to process the app/mail the cards.

Careful when you open the envelope with the card. The enclosed coupon looks like a promo slick & we almost trashed each time!

Each card must have its own unique checking acct & phone number linked to it. If you try to duplicate another card’s info when you apply, it won’t be approved.

  3. Didn’t these coupons expire last month?
“ Since we’re talking about Target, don’t forget to use your 20% coupons.”
