If you have a United MileagePlus credit card, look out for a targeted Months of Miles Promotion. Targeted cardholders can earn up to an additional 20,000 bonus miles over the next three months. The email subject is “<Name>, here’s a path to 20,000 bonus miles”. Let’s see the details of this offer.

The Offer

Earn up to 20,000 additional MileagePlus miles over the nest three months:

  • Earn 4,000 bonus miles for spending $2000 in February
  • Get another 4,000 bonus miles for spending $2000 in March
  • Yet another 4,000 bonus miles for spending $2000 in April
  • Earn an additional 8,000 miles if you trigger the bonus all 3 months

Key Terms

  • To be eligible for this bonus offer, you must click the button in the email or log on to united.com/MonthsOfMiles to register.
  • You are only eligible for the additional bonus miles designated in this offer if you make the number of purchases and spend the designated amount for each of the three months of the promotion period.
  • Please allow 6–8 weeks after the promotion ends, for bonus miles to post to your MileagePlus account.
  • This promotional offer is nontransferable and applies only to the account ending in the last four digits referenced in this offer.

Conclusion

This can be a good opportunity to add a big chunk of miles to your MileagePlus accounts. On non-bonused spend you could earn 4.33X miles per dollar, instead of 1X.

If you are targeted for this promotion, make sure you register first before using your card. You can then earn 4,000 miles every month, for the next three months, when spending $2,000 or more monthly. If you complete that requirement each month, you also get 8,000 bonus bonus for a total of 20,000.
