Top 10 Travel Destinations In The World For 2019
TripAdvisor recently released their top 25 travel destinations in the world for 2019. There are a lot of great places on the list. Only one from the United States made the list and that was New York City coming in at #13. I didn’t want to list out the full 25 but wanted to give you a rundown of the top 10. You can find the whole list here.
The Top 10
10. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
9. Marrakech, Morocco – I know Morocco is very high on Shawn’s list.
8. Istanbul, Turkey
7. Barcelona, Spain – PDX Deals Guy is hopping around Spain right now.
6. Phuket, Thailand – Shawn was in Phuket a few days ago but had mixed results.
5. Bali, Indonesia
4. Crete, Greece – Megan Starr talked about how much she enjoyed Greece in our Q&A.
3. Rome, Italy
2. Paris, France
1. London, United Kingdom
Conclusion
No real surprises in the top ten. I was a little surprised London took the top spot over Paris or Rome but you can’t complain about that top 10 really. The one that is highest on my list is the #11 option Prague. Most surprising to me was Jamaica at #14…I just don’t see it.

Thank you for mentioning Prague at #11. Going there in November!
Jill I am a little jealous of you right now….well maybe a lot jealous!!!
2 pretty good reasons to pass on Jamaica.
It’s nice to see Crete listed. Great island. Very friendly people, good food, superb history and culture, low prices, and English is widely spoken.
I think the list was pretty solid overall and don’t have many complaints outside of Jamaica but that could be my personal bias there 🙂
Why Jamaica? I’ve been several times and I wouldn’t have returned if I didn’t like it, but the poverty is worse than Mexico, for example, as is the crime.
Just think there are more deserving places, especially when it comes to beaches or islands.
