Capital One Threatened to Decrease My Credit Limit? Easy Fix

Two Capital One Cards Lose Lounge Access

If you have a Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Spark Miles for Business Card in your wallet, then you will lose one cardmember benefit just over a year from now.

Those cardholders currently receive two complimentary airport lounge visits every year. Those free visits can be used at Capital One Lounges or Plaza Premium Lounges. But, 2024 will be the last year to take advantage of these complimentary airport lounge visits.

The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Spark Miles for Business will no longer offer complimentary airport lounge access starting January 1st, 2025. You will still be able to access the popular Capital One Lounges, but you will have to pay a discounted fee of $45 (regular price is $65).

If you want to visit Capital One Lounges, then Capital One Venture X and Capital One Venture X Business remain your best options. These cards give you unlimited visits not only to Capital One’s network of lounges, but also Priority Pass and Plaza Premium Lounges.

Conclusion

Capital One Venture Rewards and Capital One Spark Miles cardholders will no longer have complimentary lounge access starting in 2025. While those cardholders currently receive just two free lounge visits every year, it is still a valuable benefit for the occasional traveler.

  1. Not surprising. Capital One is paralleling its Venture/X cards to the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred. The Visa Infinite card gets all the lounge benefits while the $95 card doesn’t (won’t anymore).
