U by Kotex Settlement Provides Up to $30+ for Eligible Class Members

U by Kotex Settlement

A $7 million class action settlement has been announced, ending allegations that U by Kotex tampons could unravel or come apart. These issues caused infections, irritation, injuries, and in some cases women even had to seek medical attention.

The Court has not decided in favor of the Plaintiff or the Defendant. Instead, both sides have agreed to the proposed settlement to avoid the costs and uncertainty of a trial.

Eligibility

The Class includes all persons in the United States and United States Territories who bought at retail one or more of the eligible products during the period March 8, 2013 through November 19, 2019. Eligible products include:

• U by Kotex® Sleek® Tampons, U by Kotex® Fitness® Tampons, U by Kotex® Click® Tampons, and U by Kotex® Security® Tampons in Regular, Super, and Super-Plus Absorbency.

Payout

If the Settlement is approved and becomes final, the Settlement provides a maximum fund of up to $7,000,000 to resolve the lawsuit.

You may be entitled to a $6.00 cash payment for each box you purchased, up to a maximum of $30.00 in cash if you do not have Proof of Purchase.

Class Members who claim more than $30.00 in benefits must submit Proof of Purchase establishing purchase(s) for each box claimed in excess of $30.00 and may receive benefits based on the retail value shown in the Proofs of Purchase.

If the total value of all approved claims is greater than the amount of money available to pay claims, payments will be reduced proportionally.  Thus, the amount of your payment will depend on the total amount of money you spent, whether you have Proof of Purchase for the products you bought, and on the number of Class Members who choose to make a claim.
