United Airlines Ramps Up Alaska Summer Schedule
United Airlines it ramping up its Alaska flight schedule once again. The airline will resume four routes to Alaska for the summer of 2022, anticipating that travel demand will continue to increase.
All of the added summer routes have previously been on United’s schedule in the past. Alaska is one of the most popular summer destinations for air and cruise passengers from the lower 48 states. And domestic leisure travel has seen a quicker rebound due to all the international travel restrictions.
SimpleFlying reports that United Airlines has added the following routes to its summer 2022 network:
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC)
- Daily service
- Starts June 3rd
- Boeing 757-200
- Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Anchorage (ANC)
- Daily service
- Starts June 3rd
- Boeing 737 MAX 8
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Anchorage (ANC)
- Daily service
- Starts June 3rd
- Boeing 737-800
- Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Fairbanks International Airport (FAI)
- Daily service
- Starts June 3rd
- Boeing 737-800
Additionally, United Airlines is adding service on flights between ORD and ANC. From June through August, United will increase service from one daily to two. All routes are already available for bookings.

I flew that ANC-EWR for $86 OW last year, crazy cheap. And plane was about 10% full.
