United Club Infinite Card Get More Perks

Chase launched a new super premium United card in early 2020, which was not the best timing. The United Club Infinite card replaced the old United Club card and had a big 100K bonus at launch. Now that offer is at 75K. This is a card that comes with a $525 price tag, so the bonus alone is not worth applying.

However, the card give you a lot of value and extra perks. And now more benefits have been added, which no fee increase. Let’s take a look at these new benefits that were first reported by TPG.

10% Discount on Awards

Starting immediately, United Club Infinite cardmembers will get a 10% discount on Economy Saver Awards on United flights within the continental U.S. and Canada. This is available for the primary cardholder only.

For example, a Saver Award that shows as 10,000 miles when you are not signed in, will show as 9,000 miles if signed into your United Club Infinite account.

United Club Infinite cardmembers already get access to expanded award availability, which is a perk for all United cobranded cardholders.

10,000 Bonus Miles for CLEAR

United Club Infinite Card members who sign up and pay for CLEAR with their card, will earn 10,000 bonus MileagePlus miles. This offer is available through June 30, 2022,

As a MileagePlus member you can also get a discounted CLEAR membership. You would pay $119 for a membership and earn 10,000 miles. useful for everyone.

You can also get CLEAR for free with Amex Platinum card and other cards that have the CLEAR Amex Offer.

IHG Premium Elite Status & $75 Credit

Starting in 2022, primary United Club Infinite cardholders get IHG Platinum Elite status for free. Some of the perks included are complimentary room upgrades, extended check-out, and bonus points for your stays.

Additionally, cardholders receive $75 in statement credits for IHG Hotels and Resorts purchases charged to the card from Jan. 1, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2022.

More PQPs and Upgrades

Starting in 2022, United Club Infinite cardholders will be able to earn up to 4,000 Premier-Qualifying Points (PQPs) per calendar year. That’s an additional 1,000 PQPs compared to 2021.

This is broken down as 500 PQPs for every $12,000 spent on your card. So you would have to spend a total of $96,000 to maximize it.

United Club Infinite cardholders who have MileagePlus Premier status will also be eligible to upgrade a companion traveling on the same reservation on award tickets.

Conclusion

Having extra benefits without paying extra, is always a good thing. The 10% discount on awards should be a useful perk for those who fly United often.

The CLEAR bonus could be useful if you just need one membership. However, you can get CLEAR for two for free through Amex.

The IHG perks are a bit surprising but they do add some more value to the card. The rest of the benefits on the card are not changing, so check out our review here, to see what else the United Club Infinite Card gets you.

  1. I just found out my United Club card is changing to the United Club Infinite Card. The letter and brochure that Chase sent me does not mention the 10% Discount on Awards.
Is the 10% Discount on Awards a confirmed benefit?
